The Eskrigg Nature Reserve
This Reserve is operated by the Lockerbie Wildlife Trust and is situated directly opposite the entrance to the Visitors’ Centre giving visitors excellent examples of the types of flora and fauna to be found here in the Lockerbie area. A series of 6 woodland walks are signposted of different lengths and of particular interest is the pond and heathland area. Information boards give guidance on what to look out for depending on the season and the surrounding forest is one of the last refuges of the British native red squirrel.
